I need a camera for work that costs around $400 or less. It’s main use will be for quality control, thus taking close up pictures with high detail in a many different lighting situation, but most often a faily dark ware house. It needs to be a digital camera, making it possible for immediate download and e-mail. I did several searches and found a lot of information that I do not know, like digital SLR and macro…Please help and keep it simple for me.
Thanks a ton!

Dear
Basically all Digi Cams r same …
for quality picture u need
a high pixel camera
n
one thing u should know is
to get more detail u need to set ur camera`s shutter time slow and adjust it`s aperture according to ur need !
remember do not shake ur hand while taking picture !

What you are looking for is “Focusing Distance”; the smaller that number, the closer you can get to the subject.
Also Aperture range. The smaller the number, the quicker the lens. Look for something in the f/2 range. This will allow you to take pictures in low light.
The Nikon L4 is a fantastic choice (if you need or want sound with your videos get the L3, it’s only about $20 more!), if you don’t need sound with the video. The L4 can be found for $90-$130 typically and it is such an brilliant camera, you won’t believe it costs so small!

right now you can get the Nikon L3 for
a FANTASTIC deal at RITZCAMERA.COM, see:http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/541535…
(this is NOT an affiliate link, it is the ACTUAL link
to their Nikon L3 special!)
They both have “Macro” mode, a simple touch of a button kicks it into Macro mode, and the L4 can get as close as 1.6 inches! I reckon the L3 is 2 inches. I have experimented with both and have gotten fantastic results, but you must “know” the camera and it’s extensive features/settings to get excellent results!
The L4/L3 are very small and don’t weigh much, and both have excellent reviews on-line at Amazon.com or major camera stores. Also, supposedly the L4/L3 are excellent in the “work place”, meaning most people I have questioned report no problems with typical bumps and grinds while using the camera at work
I own both the L4 & L3 and like them, but the L4 has less “drag time if any than the L3 which has a higher megapixel (5.1mp) and has sound. I use a 1GB SD Memory card with each, but please note, they are not the 150X “high speed” cards, that would probably make a difference!
For further research, I highly recommend using these two “comparative” shopping services, they both have brilliant features to help you find exactly what you are looking for!
p.s.-the Nikon “L” series cameras do NOT come with the SD Memory cards, you will need to buy one separate, and be advised, it is WAY cheaper to buy a SD Memory card on eBay than most “regular” stores! I have bought 2 1GB SD Memory cards on eBay for $20-$25 each, and feel that is about the “going rate” on eBay, regardless of brand. The same card will typically cost you $35-$65 in a store!!!!!
