It’s just his personality. Some of his traits are sniper-oriented, but you can play the character but you want.

Yeah, but I reckon they were felt more motivated to show Mordecai’s personality, and apply a definition of his skills before selecting him.
Plus, when you manage to upgrade his “Lethal Strike” Skill, you can RUIN nearly anything. Especially if you have a weapon with ‘200% Melee hurt.’
Does him being a sniper affect the actual gameplay, or is it just his character in cutscenes?
At that, Mordecai is a SNIPER. Why would we care about his knife-twirling? You don’t WANT someone to get close enough to have to use that knifeplay if you play a dedicated Sniper Mordecai. Although, I do know, showing his insane (tale-wise) accuracy would be a small more hard than just having him twirl a knife, but still.

fantastic song for a fantastic intro!
uh…. Mass Effect and Borderlands don’t have THAT much is common, this is more a stright fun shoot ‘em up type role playing shooter, whereas MA is more an awesomely storied Sci-Fi game with cool backstories. they really just cater to different tastes….and if i recal, Mechwarrior 2 is the one that’s remembered, not Deus Ex. and the FF series, least 7-10 will always be remembered as awesome games.

also when he’s doing his swordplay all the others have disappeared, same with the closeups of the other 3!
